| News October 2005 . Mile stone - UK patent issues. New IP filed (with involvement of Time Slice in the technical specification. First investor meetings established. First outside investment made in Atelier Vision.
September 2005 . Presentations to the BBC at broadcasting house. A research project is suggested to result in a video to explain Vision-Space and to contain the first production (transmission) quality moving image material.
August 2005 . Initial discussion with licensing consultants (David Alcraft Consultants) take place with respect to representing Atelier Vision and the setting up of VIsion-Space Imaging Ltd.
June - July 2005 . Presentations to gaming company Visual Sciences in Dundee. It is clear that Vision-Space will have a considerable impact in this environment. The programming issues involved are not complex.
May 2005 . Fund-raising issues place the contribution to the Bolex project on hold.
March 2005. Pilot footage is shot for the Bolex Brothers animation project Atelier Vision will be transforming the pilot footage as a test and for promotional fund-raising for the project.
February 2005. Initial approaches made to Kodak, Sony and KonicaMinolta The invitation to develop the IP in various market sectors is extended to these leading companies.
November 2004. Licensing team assembled Veale Wasborough - Solicitors and Numerica - Accountants, join the licensing team and preparations are made to attract the first licensees.
October 2004. New Vision-Space demos are prepared Time Slice and Atelier Vision start working on new demo material and are planning to seed additional commercial pilot projects.
September 2004. Vision-Space in moving images Time Slice Films and Atelier Vision have succeeded in transforming the first ever Vision-Space moving image clip. Its quite clear that Vision-Space works as predicted and that the techniques can be deployed commercially as pilot projects.
August 2004. Licensing strategy An outline licensing strategy is prepared and the licensing team assembled.
July 2004. Time Slice Films Ltd Tim Macmillan of Time Slice Films is joining forces with Atelier Vision to produce the first production quality sequence of Vision-Space moving images. First results are extremely encouraging and a full test situation is planned.
July 2004. International patent filed The international patent has been successfully filled and as for the UK filing, no matches were found in the search enquiry. We are now satisfied that we are the only company in the world working on this type of saliency attribute for 2D media. Exciting stuff!
June 2004. Pilot projects - Vision-Space in animation feature Atelier Vision have secured a role for Vision-Space techniques in the forthcoming feature length animation of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers from Bolex Brothers in Bristol. This animation will introduce the potential of Vision-Space to the moving image industries. John Jupe later commented “It ‘s our intention to start a number of pilot projects to demonstrate the potential of Vision-Space and its commercial appeal. Working with Bristol’s animators would be a perfect way for us to begin that task.”
June 2004. - DTI SMART application Submission Rejected Aug. 04 - UK based R&D on Vision-Space looks to be impractical due to lack of support and pressing time scales - Atelier Vision look to license IP for development outside the UK
